Former Adviser on Interethnic Relations to the President of Azerbaijan; Vice-President, Centre for Economic and Political Research (FAR-Centre), Baku
Education:
1968-1973 - Azerbaijan Oil Academy, Baku.
Major: An automation and information-computing systems.
1982-1985 - Moscow humanitarian and social Academy. Got scientific degree of Ph.D.
Work experience:
· Led an exploratory lab of sociology of interethnic relations of Moscow humanitarian and social Academy.
· 1989-90 - was leading an exploratory lab of sociology party life of Baku Institute for Public Administration and Policy Science.
· 1991-92 - served as an adviser on interethnic relations in President administrations of Azerbaijani Republic,
· 1992-93 was an adviser on political questions in the apparatus of Parliament of republic.
· 1993-99 worked an assistant professor of political science in Baku Institute for Public Administration and Policy Science.
· Since fall 2000 mostly concentrated own activities as an independent political analyst.
· 2005 - Vice-President, Centre for Economic and Political Research (FAR-centre)
· 2005-2008 is a member of Council of Press of the Azerbaijan Republic
· 1998-2003 was a member of Boards of The Eurasia Foundation, and since 2006 is a member of Boards of OSI Azerbaijan (Soros Foundation)
· Regularly made the speeches with political reviews and comments In the Azerbaijan and foreign newspapers, TV and radio.
· Is an author of more then 190 scientific works, published in Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkish, Canada, USA, Great Britain, Sweden, Germany, China and others. Sphere of scientific interests: ethnic a policy, regional geopolitics, political parties and institutes.
