Former Foreign Minister of Georgia; Alternate Director General, International Centre for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS), Athens
Prior to joining the ICBSS in December 2007, Tedo Japaridze was President of the U.S.-Caucasus Institute in Tbilisi, and Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Centre for Scholars, Washington, D.C. He is a former Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS and former Foreign Minister of Georgia. From 1994-2002 he served as Georgia’s Ambassador to the United States, Canada and Mexico and thereafter chaired the Georgian National Security Council. He holds a PhD in Political Sciences and has published various books and articles. He is also associated with the Oxford-based Trilateral Group, the Kennan Institute, Washington DC, Le Cercle Group/London.
