President, The New Eurasia Foundation, Moscow
Andrei Kortunov is the president of the New Eurasia Foundation in Moscow, Russia. He is the president of the Information Scholarship Education Center (ISE). Mr. Kortunov holds a degree in international relations from the Moscow State University of International Relations and pursued postgraduate studies at the Institute for the U.S. and Canadian Studies (PhD in history) where he served as deputy director and head of the Foreign Policy Department.
In the early 1990s, Mr. Kortunov was head of the Moscow Public Science Foundation. In the late 1990s and early 2000, he served as an advisor on the Committee on International Relations of the Russian State Duma. His teaching experience includes the design and conduct of specialized courses tailored to different academic levels and audiences at several American and Russian universities including the University of California (Berkeley), University of Miami and the Moscow State University of International Relations.
